MINUTES OF THE ANNUAL COMMUNITY MEETING
HELD ON MONDAY 9th May 2022

  1. ELECTION OF CHAIRMAN AND VICE CHAIRMAN

1A FIX DATES FOR THE DATES AMD TIMES OF ORDINARY MEETINGS OF THE COUNCIL FOR THE ENDURING YEAR

The Chairperson welcomed all to the meeting and thanked them

for their attendance.           

Election of Officers 2022/23

A)    Chairman  – Cllr D Harris             Nominated – By Councillor C Ovenden seconded by Councillor M Sidwell

B)   Vice Chairman –Cllr C Ovenden  Nominated – By Councillor D Harris seconded by Councillor M Sidwell.   

Both accepted these positions.        

Dates and times of ordinary meetings of Mathern Community Council for the ensuing year:

All agreed to continue meeting on the second Monday of the month at 7 pm. In the Village Hall.

All Councillors completed a new Acceptance of Office form following the elections and the Clerk will retain these.   All were reminded of the Councillors’ Code of Conduct and the importance of the Declaration of Interest procedure.

This was received and all thanked Cllr D Harris for the report and his excellent Chairmanship.        Cllr D Harris thanked all Cllrs for the support during the year.

Clerk to place this on the website.

  1. CO OPTION COUNCILLORS ONE FOR MATHERN ONE FOR PWLLMERYRIC

It was unanimously agreed that Jayne Harris would be co-opted as a Councillor for Mathern and James Anderson for Pwllmeyric.

No other interest had been shown for the election year via completed applications to MCC.
